As an ultramarathoner who’s completed more than 35 distance races around the country, I hold national personal fitness training certification through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) and international personal fitness training certification through PTA Global. I also have special training as an Obstacle Race coach and in plant-based nutrition, and am an RRCA (Road Runners Club of America) Certified Running Coach.
Many fitness coaches out there may not be certified at all, but by maintaining multiple certifications I can stay up to date on a broad spectrum of health theories, methodologies and best practices from the US and around the world. With a bachelors degree and graduate education as well, you can feel confident that you’re training with someone who has the knowledge to bring you the most efficient and customized workout plan. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing my clients achieve weight loss of up to 80 lbs, drop pants sizes, train for their first or 10th distance race, or build strength while dealing with medical conditions. I am also CPR, AED, and First Aid certified and am vigilant about safety and injury prevention.
